Dr. Paulette Kouffman Sherman is a Certified Hypnotherapist.  She helps people with hypnosis for issues like stress management, weight loss, changing habits, goals, fears and relationship issues.

Since Dr. Sherman works with daters and couples, Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for enlisting your subconscious to achieve your goals and to live the conscious life and relationship you desire.  Research shows that tailoring suggestions and having the client reinforce them for 10 minutes a day aids success. Hypnosis is used for a wide range of issues.

She uses hypnotherapy to address dating issues like:

  • dating anxiety and social anxiety
  • breakups and divorces
  • self-esteem and confidence
  • shifting relationship patterns
  • body image issues
  • having a positive view of prospective partnerships, dating and marriage
  • releasing old baggage
  • release fear of being alone

And for Couples Relationship Issues:

  • To address negative sentiment override (wanting to feel more positive towards your partner)
  • To express more love
  • To improve your sex life
  • To increase romance
  • To improve finances
  • To create a shared vision or relationship goals
  • To handle conflict respectfully and peacefully
  • To increase self-love
  • To increase trust

Research on hypnosis find that it is helpful and shorter than therapy. Dr. Sherman sees clients for an average of 7 sessions.  The average success rate for hypnotherapy was 93% after 6 sessions, compared with a 77% success rate after 22 sessions of behavioral therapy.

For example for weight loss, research shows that clients in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapy coupled with hypnosis lose more weight.  After 4-6 months clients with hypnosis and CBT dropped more than 20 pounds and those who did just CBT lost 10 pounds.

In another study, 75% of clients felt symptoms improved re stress after 12 weeks of self-hypnosis.  Individuals who used self-hypnosis 3-5 times a week reported the highest levels of self-esteem at a 7 week follow-up.
